Join us for a hike on PA State Game Lands 282. The walk will be on a train line that went to Dunkirk. It is an out and back walk of about 2.5 miles and can be extended by walking on the old trolley line that went into Jamestown. This is a great place to see ducks, geese, eagles, and if we are lucky we might spot sand hill cranes – so bring binoculars if you have them!
There are a couple different ways to get there but here is an easy way – Take 60 south from Jamestown and then 62 into Frewsburg, Turn right on Water Street (also called old 62, County Touring Route 53 or 8139), drive 5.4 miles south (past the road to Audubon) to Martin Road (there is a cemetery with a big beautiful tree at this intersection), turn right on Martin Road and drive to the parking lot at the end of the road. Coordinates are 41.9808505, -79.1368724.
